A rare and unusual carved and stained celluloid perfume bottle pendant probably made in Japan for the European market. It comprises a Buddha figure seated on a flower filled basket dais with a pendant drop beneath decorated with panels and flowers. The figure unscrews giving access via the screwhole to the hollow dais - its purpose as a vessel I know not. The pendant drop unscrews towards the base and reveals a tiny perfume bottle inside (sadly damaged). A fascinating item which was probably worn as a pendant. The bale and links are in brass. I have more pictures if you require them.
Condition: Very Good
Dimensions: 10 cm long x 9.2 cm circumference at the top of the dais approx.
