CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS is a wonderful example of KUBASTA'S unique art and skill at paper-engineering. The front shows a steering wheel and is complete with the moving sectionon the reverse. The sailing ship spread out before one is a true delight. Bearing in mind the nature of pop-ups and age of this book, it is in very good condition in that the sides are rubbed, bound spine complete, moving wheel intact, signature intact, on reverse but largely missing on the front board. The normal spine is worn but intacct although supported with tape and the spine supporting the link with the spread, cloth bound, is sound and complete. The rigging is intact on the boat and she stands proudly upright.
