A very attractive antique sewing accessory - a steel-tipped silver bodkin in a silver case/sheath. The silver is unmarked but tests have proved the metal to be of sterling standard (except for the steel tip to the bodkin of course). The pieces are decorated with differing designs: The handle of the bodkin is chased and cut with a design of stylised leaves and chevrons whilst the case is decorated with arabesques of stylised flower heads and stalks.
Condition: Very Good
Dimensions: Bodkin: 2 1/2" (6cm) long; Case: 1 6/8" (4.5cm) long; Overall: 3" (8cm) long approx.
