A Crimean War Sunderland lustre jug, of Dutch shape with simple strap handle, printed in black and enamel coloured, on one side with a scene titled Sailors Farewell, on the front with a verse I envy no one's birth or fame..., and on the other side with a pseudo armorial Crimea surmounted with a ribbon May They Ever Be United, all surrounded by pink lustre squiggles with lustre lining around the spout, neck and foot, height 18.4cm, unmarked, circa 1854-56 (restoration to handle, star crack in base)
