An attractive Turkish ugkur (sash), embroidered in silk and silver thread with yellow silk core on cotton ground, west Anatolia first half 19th century, 94.5in. x 11.5in. 240cm. x 29cm. Plain ground with one or two stains. The distinct style shows this to be an attractive peasant embroidery rather than one from an urban centre.
