| A good scarce infantry Field officers 1892 pattern sword, straight fullered blade 33 by E Thurkle Soho, London, etched with flat topped crown, VR cypher within scrolled frosted panels, regulation brass (evidently never gilt) hilt incorporating crowned VR cypher, wirebound fishskin grip, in its brass scabbard. Near VGC, the blade retains most original polish (a few slight speckles, scabbard dented at tip) Plate 7
